Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Journeyhub Tours and Travels, we believe in transparency and comply fully with TICO regulations regarding refunds and cancellations.

1. Client-Initiated Cancellations

  • Requests must be made in writing.

  • Cancellation fees vary by supplier and will be advised at booking.

  • Some bookings are 100% non-refundable; we’ll disclose these before payment.

2. Supplier-Initiated Cancellations

  • If a supplier cancels or significantly changes your booking, we’ll assist you with refund, credit, or rebooking options.

3. Refund Processing

  • Refunds are handled according to supplier rules.

  • Once approved, refunds are returned to the original form of payment.

  • Please allow 8 to 12 weeks for processing.

4. Force Majeure & COVID-19

Refunds or credits for travel disruptions caused by pandemics, natural disasters, or government advisories are subject to supplier policies.


Your Rights Under TICO

As a TICO-registered travel agency, your travel purchase is protected under Ontario law.

You are entitled to:

  • Full transparency on pricing, fees, and booking terms

  • Refund protection through the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund if a registered travel supplier fails

  • Access to TICO’s complaint resolution services

Travel Insurance Disclosure

We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect yourself against:

  • Trip cancellations or changes

  • Medical emergencies abroad

  • Delays, missed connections, or lost luggage

 

Declining travel insurance means you accept full financial responsibility for unforeseen costs.
